Child immunisation benefits

01 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM

The Australian General Practice Network is reminding parents to keep up to date with their child's immunisations so they can receive the family tax benefit part A supplement this year.

Network chairman Dr Emil Djakic said that to receive the benefit of $726 per child, parents needed to ensure their child was fully immunised according to the appropriate age schedule.

Although the changes do not come into effect until July 1 the relevant paperwork confirming the child's immunisation status must be lodged by the end of the financial year.
