GRAB your gloves and coat, it's snow time! What better way to enjoy the cold, wet weather in winter than to visit the snow?
Victoria is home to some of the country's best winter resorts. Mt Buller, Falls Creek, Mt Hotham, Lake Mountain and Mt Donna Buang - just to name a few - all offer something for the whole family to enjoy.
Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board spokeswoman Gillian Dobson said Mt Buller had activities for all ages and interests, on and off the slopes.
"There's obviously skiing and snowboarding, but non-skiers can also enjoy activities such as snowshoeing, visiting the day spa, checking out a movie at the cinema or taking in the history of the resort at the National Alpine Museum.
"There's even an indoor rock-climbing wall, multi-use courts and a gymnasium at the Buller Community Centre."
Summer, activities at the resort include bushwalking, mountain bike riding, tennis, four-wheel-drive tours, trail bike adventures and horse riding.
If you're just looking for a quick taste of action in the snow, look closer to home at Lake Mountain and Mt Donna Buang, which are located in the Yarra Valley.
Lake Mountain has cross country skiing, tobogganing and snow play in the winter months, while in summer visitors can enjoy walking and mountain bike trails which are suitable for all abilities.
Mt Donna Buang offers picnic facilities, walks, snow play and tobogganing in winter months, with spectacular views from a 21-metre tower and a Rainforest Gallery walk.
