Flipping for pancakes

22 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
Matt, Lachie, Julia and Chloe at St Luke's Primary School in Wantirna South got into the spirit of Shrove Tuesday by cooking 200 pancakes and raising $220 for aid agency Caritas. Pancakes were on the menu right across Knox as schools, companies and charities celebrated the day. Originally a Christian tradition to rid the house of sugar and flour before Lent began, Shrove Tuesday is now embraced by many who want an excuse for a sweet treat. Picture: Sam Stiglec
