Night at movies for CFA

03 Feb, 2010 03:00 AM
KNOX City shopping centre will host a free family movie night for CFA members next Wednesday.

Centre manager Stephen Rowe said the movie night was the shopping centre's small way to thank firefighters for their efforts last summer.

"With CFA headquarters located in Burwood East and brigades nearby, many Knox shopping centre customers are CFA members who were affected by Black Saturday or played a role in assisting in the fire operations.

"We invite them to register for the movie night, and come along with a guest."

The free event includes a screening of the new film Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, starring Uma Thurman and Pierce Brosnan, and a complimentary small drink and popcorn. The movie will be shown at Village Cinemas at Knox O-Zone.

CFA members must register their attendance by calling 98718541 or visiting the customer service desk on level two.

On the night, they should bring photo ID plus their membership card or a piece of CFA clothing and arrive by 5.45pm.
