American duo stay with the Raiders

13 Jan, 2010 04:00 AM
KNOX Raiders capped a busy pre-season prior to the Christmas break by re-signing American import Lester Strong.

Entering his third season at the club, Strong will again be a key playmaker for the team alongside fellow American CJ Massingale.

Arguably the most feared import duo in the SEABL, the athletic pair has formed a solid partnership ever since their days together in college. Knox's first game will be at home against nearby rival Nunawading on March 13.

Meanwhile, the Raiders women's team has retained the services of Emily Fryters and Sarah Graham.

Graham will return to the club after completing the WNBL season at Logan Thunder, while Fryters will look to build on a great 2009 season that saw her selected to the All SEABL team for the first time.
