Bulleen turns to Knox for venue

17 Feb, 2010 04:00 AM
AFTER a record-breaking regular season, WNBL championship favourite Bulleen will start its final campaign at Knox Stadium this Saturday afternoon against the Sydney Flames, the only team to have topped the Boomers.

Realising the need to accommodate a bigger crowd than their usual home stadium, the Veneto Club, can hold, Bulleen sought assistance from Knox Basketball.

The end result is a mouth-watering contest in which Saturday's winner will progress to the WNBL grand final.

A crowd of more than 1500 is expected, and ABC television cameras will beam the match live around Australia.

Tip-off is at 3pm and tickets are available by calling 98506222. Entry is $20 for adults, $15 for students, concession holders or pensioners, $10 for children 14 years and under and $55 for a family of four. VIP seating is $50 and a fully catered corporate box for eight people is $770.
