Raiders lose the battle

10 Mar, 2010 04:00 AM
KNOX D-League basketball copped a bit of a pounding at the Yarra Ranges Classic, coming away with just three wins for both men's and women's teams.

The Raiders' men finished the tournament a disappointing second-last, losing by 19 points - 75-54 - to Kilsyth in the last game.

Evan Andrews was handy in his side's loss to Dandenong on Saturday.

In contrast, the women beat Kilsyth by five points - 60-55 - on Labour Day to clinch second spot behind Dandenong.

The round-robin competition, won by the Dandenong Rangers, featured teams from Knox, Kilsyth, Brisbane and Frankston.
