THE final round of the home and away season had most games petering out to draws in Knox Tavern Cup.

Only Eildon Park and Belgrave gained full points.

The Panthers finished their year with a win against The Basin. Shane Cosstick (42), Nathan Hicks (43), and Josh Dowling (30 not out) all made their mark as Eildon Park compiled 6-201.

Matt Heskes toiled hard for the Huntsmen with both bat (37) and ball (3-41) as The Basin managed 194. Wayne Koster (57no) was the best batsman for The Basin and Steve Pimm took four wickets.

Belgrave finished its year on a high, beating Rowville at Seebeck reserve. Belgrave finished sixth and Eildon Park fifth as the final four remained unchanged.

In semi-finals next week, Upper Ferntree Gully plays Johnson Park at Kings Park and Upwey hosts Ferntree Gully.

In the Decoite Shield, all games ended with results as ladder-leaders Footballers had a strong hit-out against Mountain Gate. The Griffins set a target of 4-254 with Chris Brittain making 85 and Ben Rawlings 114.

The Gators were then bowled out for 97 as Steve Hart and Adam Carey took control with the ball.

South Belgrave had an easy win over Aura Vale, bowling the Lakers out for 74 with Todd Burley grabbing six wickets, before claiming the points only one wicket down.

Knox ensured it continued on to finals action with a win over Knoxfield. Footballers will host Knox at Pickett's Reserve and South Belgrave will host Knoxfield.
