WHAT a game Yarra Junction brothers Daniel and David Lever had in round 10 in the Yarra Valley Cricket Association's DJStrachan Shield.
On the first day, David tore through the Gruyere District attack, taking six wickets for the day.
On Saturday he and Daniel teamed up to win the game in a canter, Daniel scoring 161 and David 105. Gruyere District 254 (G Sweeten, 53, Dan Lever, 6-111) lost to Yarra Junction 1-285 (Dan Lever, 161, David Lever, 105)
Seville had 317 in the scorebook as visitors Woori Yallock batted on day two. Woori was always in the game but fell in the last few overs, scoring 287 (Tim Diggins, 75, Matt Stolarcyk, 53no, Den Troyahn 4-85).
Silvan scored 8-264 (Clint Sharman, 70, Kane Jones 3-49) to defeat Mt Evelyn on 92.
Wandin, 5-289 batted well in its chase of Healesville's 186 with John Aumann 101 not out Scott Hassan 80 leading the way. The win should consolidate Wandin in top place on the ladder with their run home matches against Hoddles Creek and Mt Evelyn.
Warburton Millgrove defeated Coldstream outright on the first innings and has kept its hold on second spot, but has a tougher run home than Woori Yallock and Healesville. On Saturday Tim McKail made 75 and Cam Darvall took 6-22

Healesville (259) defeated Yarra Glen outright with Alan Pearce taking 4-27; Coldstream's 183 from the first day was too much for Wandin, which made 97 (Nathan Cuthbertson 5-19).
