RINGWOOD District Cricket Association's under-16 side won the state-wide Jim Beitzel Shield on Sunday.
The RDCA side faced North-West Metro CA in the grand final at Gordon Barnard Reserve in Greythorn and were on the backfoot early after North-West batted.
But RDCA bowlers Lachlan Hampton (3-22), Elliott Hole (3-22) and Tom Hancock (2-13) all hit form, bowling their opponents out for 114 in 40.3 overs.
In response, the RDCA batsmen, led by first-drop Jagjeet Singh (58), made the runs in 38 overs. Opener Sebastian Xantidis (28 not out) and Mitchell Daniels (14 not out) also helped take their side to victory.
Xantidis ended the carnival as the second-highest run scorer with 195 at 39. Hampton led the competition in wickets with 15 at 11 and was closely followed by teammate Michael Williamson, who took 13 wickets at 12.
The RDCA under-14s side made the semi finals of the Russell Allen Shield but lost out to City of Moorabbin CA, which went on to lose to Southern Cricket League in the final.
The RDCA under-12s also made the semi-finals but were defeated by the Eastern CA.
