THE Knox Little Athletics Centre season got under way last week with its opening meet of the season.
Among those on hand to celebrate KLAC's 40th season was Victorian Sports and Recreation Minister James Merlino, who launched the new season at Knox Park on Saturday.
Mr Merlino said he was delighted to celebrate the milestone with the local community.
Achievers from last season were acknowledged.
State record holders Brooke Stratton, Charanja Thavendran and Spencer Browne were presented with their state record award certificates.
The Knox centre's three new life members - Allan Wright, Ann Goder and Dawn Vanderhorst - were also presented with their awards.
