A grade teams post lop-sided results
5:35 PM | There were some lop-sided results in A grade of Port Pirie & District Tennis Association this week. The Railway Pennant men had a clean sweep in their doubles and singles.
Props run over South Port
5:33 PM | Props run over the top of South Port in A grade cricket on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Oval. Props won the toss and elected to bat but only got to the second over when there was a mix up in the running and Andy Fuchs was run out for 4.
5:31 PM | John Caputo is on top of the world after being chosen as one of the best salesmen in Australia. He and one other representative were named by a snack food company as its leading salesmen in Australia and New Zealand.
5:29 PM | Napperby residents are happy with a playground upgrade and new community notice board for the town. The two new playground pieces cost $3000 and were given the “thumbs-up” by the children.
5:27 PM | Port Pirie has been described as a “key strategic asset” in a WPG Resources report. In its 2011 December quarterly report, the mining company says our city is an asset “which the company can leverage going forward.”
Rochelle revved up for land speed racing
