PSOs attacked at Boronia station

A 20-year-old male and 19-year-old female face charges of assaulting two protective services officers at Boronia station on Monday.

The incident happened after the officers approached the male offender about 7pm to check his ticket. The man became aggressive and allegedly grabbed the shirt of a PSO, pushing him away before fleeing.

He later returned with a valid ticket but again became aggressive towards the PSOs. When he failed to respond to their calls to back away, they subdued him with capsicum spray and arrested him.

A female allegedly assaulted one of the PSOs and was also arrested. The man and woman were charged with assault, and will appear in court at a later date.
