RDCA: It could be tight

SOUTH Croydon and Warranwood are set for another torrid encounter when they resume play on the second day of their RDCA Lindsay Trollope Shield clash this Saturday. The Bulldogs were at the crease all day, making 179.

Mooroolbark could end up ruing its decision to send Wantirna South in to bat. The Devils' Andrew Jorgensen (113) and Matthew King (94) put on 204 for the second wicket. The Devils slumped from 2-209 to 5-210 before John Aumann (40) took the score to 8-295.

Croydon North will resume at 0-40 in reply to Bayswater Park's 172. Karnel Ahmet (5-46) did the early damage.

Norwood hosted North Ringwood, which after winning the toss sent the Vikings in to bat. At 3-67 Jason Cant (30) joined Ben Hastie (64) to see the score move eto 126. But Norwood then lost 6-48 to be all out for 174.

Ainslie Park compiled 7-241 against South Warrandyte.
