Former Athletics Victoria chief executive Nick Honey is leaving the role to become the chief executive of Basketball Victoria. Honey has led AV for 9½ years which included leading Athletics Victoria's move from the old Olympic Park stadium to its new home at Lakeside Stadium in co-operation with Little Athletics Victoria, Little Athletics Australia and the Victorian Athletics League. Honey will end his tenure on February 13, with Hamish Beaumont to become acting general manager for AV. The AV board has begun its search for a new chief executive.
