THE cause of a grass fire on EastLink this afternoon is being investigated by police.
The fire began before 3pm and was controlled by seven CFA units, a CFA spokeswoman said.
Connect East spokesman Peter De Luca said the fire started about 200 metres before the Boronia Road exit on adjacent grass.
The left-hand lane was closed between Burwood Highway and High Street Road but there were only minor delays, Mr De Luca said.
Police were still at the scene this afternoon investigating .
