THE sun was shining on this year's Knox Festival at Wally Tew Reserve in Ferntree Gully with more than 40,000 people celebrating over the two days. It was a big improvement on last year's numbers of 20,000 when wild weather dampended resident's enthusiasm to check out the annual event.
This year there were fireworks on Saturday evening, a twilight cinema event on Saturday night with Ice Age 4 on the big screen, rides, exotic food, roving performers, sporting demonstrations and art and craft stalls.
