Nikita, Chloe and Penny from St Joseph's Primary School in Boronia are getting ready to join thousands of other schoolchildren as they hop on their bikes for Ride2School Day on Friday, March 22.
The school's Ride2School co-ordinator Liz Miller says the school has been taking part for more than six years.
"We do it to promote health and fitness and to lower the impact of carbon."
She expects about 100 pupils to ride on the day and make use of the school's new bike shed.
