Crime is up almost 10 per cent in Knox, 2011-12 crime statistics released by Victoria Police on Monday have shown.
Aggravated burglary, deception, harassment and weapons and explosives offences had the biggest increases, but rape, robbery and handling stolen goods offences were down.
Inspector Terry Kane, who oversees the Knox area, said young people continued to be over-represented in the statistics, both as offenders and victims.
