U3A teacher Wendy Boyle last week helped students at the Knox U3A centre contribute to a special exhibition in the USA.
The class is tatting butterflies for an exhibition of 1.5 million of the insects at the Holocaust Museum in Houston, Texas, each butterfly representing a child who died during the Holocaust. Mrs Boyle said her group had tatted about 15 butterflies for the museum.
Tatting is a craft technique used to make lace through a series of knots and loops.
