CFA crews come to pup's rescue

A PUPPY has been saved from a burning house in Wantirna South this afternoon.

CFA firefighters from Boronia and Scoresby were called to a fire in Fraser Court just after 3pm.

The occupants were not home but the puppy was found by firefighters.

The puppy was treated for smoke inhalation. It has now fully recovered and in the care of CFA and police until the owners return home.

The fire was contained to one bedroom and while the cause is not yet known, the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
