Aston MP Alan Tudge last week asked Knox residents to be generous with their belongings when doing a "spring cleanout".
He visited the St Vincent De Paul op shop in Boronia to mark National Op Shop Week during which people are encouraged to donate good-quality unwanted items to their local church or op shop.
Mr Tudge said the Boronia shop urgently needed blankets, mattresses and white goods. "It is crucial that these organisations like the St Vincent De Paul op shop and countless like it across Knox have our support to ensure that the most vulnerable in our community are supported."
