All Knox residents who want to keep the City of Knox green and leafy should vote for candidates who strongly oppose the inappropriate development of high-density apartment buildings throughout Knox.
In Taylor ward, Cr Darren Pearce has strongly opposed applications for several high-density apartment blocks in Rowville. In Scott ward, Cr David Cooper has recognised and supported Knox residents’ genuine concern that our garden suburban neighbourhood character is being overwhelmed by inappropriate high-density overdevelopment.
In Friberg ward, Cr Andrew Walter has negotiated on behalf of residents to improve development outcomes.
In Baird ward, the stand-out candidate is Anthony Searle, who, as a leading member of Appropriate Development for Boronia Inc., has fought tirelessly to protect Boronia residents from inappropriate high-density housing. Mr Searle is a hard-working, committed family man who speaks on behalf of the ordinary residents of Knox and is unaligned to any political interest group.
