Stringybark Festival foodie

A food demonstration by local chef Ben Higgs was one of the highlights at the Stringybark Festival in Rowville last weekend. More than 30,000 people enjoyed the annual event that celebrates sustainability and the environment. Higgs owns the popular Wild Oak restaurant in Olinda and is passionate about fresh, unique and local produce. Visitors to the festival were also drawn to native animal displays, roving performers and live musical performances from four stages across the two days. Picture: Wayne Hawkins
