Off and racing at Knox BMX Park

MORE than 170 riders converged on Knox BMX Park last week to show off their skills and represent their school.

The Victorian School Cup Challenge finals were held at the Knoxfield park for the second year.

Knox BMX club president Tony Richard-son said the event was used to promote BMX racing in schools and this year there was almost double the entrants of last year.

He credited the London Olympics for raising the profile of the sport, with Australian rider Sam Willoughby winning a silver medal in the men's BMX final earlier this year.

Richardson said Knox riders performed well.
