Bayswater has lost key defender Brent Jane to his home club, Ringwood, for next Eastern Football League season. Jane was announced as Redbacks coach on Monday, returning to his home club as it attempts another run at the division 3 premiership in 2013.
Jane was a member of the Redbacks 2005 premiership team and while at Bayswater captained the club from 2009-11 and won the Waters' best and fairest award in 2008. Redbacks president Bill Toohey said the club looked forward to bringing Jane home.
"It is with great excitement that the club has given one of their former sons the opportunity to return as coach of a club where Brent's history began at junior level and matured to become a valued member of the senior team," he said."We look forward to a promising season."
